Stephen at PR Blogger tagged me with a recycled meme on my top five social media tools. Despite the ever-growing amount of social media tools out there, I am willing to venture a guess that everyone in these circles uses the same (or similar) ones.
1. Bloglines: I use Bloglines to keep track of 73 essential feeds. There is absolutely no way I would be able to accurately track all of them without the program.
2. Del.icio.us: I have a lot to keep track of in the bookmarks department. The only thing that’s annoying to me about Del.icio.us is that one of these days, I’m going to have to go in and organise everything. Seriously, my tags are all over the place. It’s going to be at least a three-day project, no doubt.
3. WordPress: I use it for this blog, which is my obsession de la moment. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time deciding between platforms for Fake Plastic Noodles because I knew I wanted to use WordPress from the beginning. I’d sooner die than have .blogspot.com on my domain.
4. MySpace: Yes, the ads are annoying. Really annoying. But at least I’m not asked about downloading zombie applications all day long.
5. Facebook: Yes, the applications are annoying. Really annoying. But at least I don’t have to stare at a blazingly pink advert for Cherry Coke.
Considering my “mad PR Networking skillz” have only recently extended to the blogosphere, the only people I would tag are social media colleagues who, at the moment, don’t have social media blogs. So Charlie, Daniel, Nichole, Lish and Anyone Else: If you should feel so inclined, jot down your choices in the form of a comment.
