I’m sitting in my mom’s living room typing this. I no longer “live” in Ann Arbor and all my possessions are packed into suitcases weighing exactly 49.4 pounds each (50 is the allowance on northwest). It’s hard not to think about all the things I’m going to miss about this place and get sad, so instead I’m going to concentrate on the things I’m not going to miss. In no particular order:

2. Steve Wilson
3. Yellow Hummers
4. Chain Restaurants
5. The Cougars at Somerset Mall
6. Football Saturdays

Don’t worry, there are plenty of things waiting in the UK for you to get equally hot under the collar about (and they’re not too dissimilar to your own list). In no particular order:
1. Any road you care to mention – traffic in London is terrible. The M25 is a real corker though.
2. Irritating broadcasters abound. Talk radio (Radio 4 aside) is particularly annoying.
3. Chelsea Tractors (euphemism for particularly large SUVs used by mothers to drop their kids off at school)
4. Chain restaurants. Let me know how your first experience of an Aberdeen Angus Steakhouse goes.
5. Kids at bus stops
6. Football Saturdays.
7. Notting Hill Carnival (although to be fair, a lot of people love it)
8. Superdrug
9. Potholes
10. …ok fair enough, I’ll give you this one…

So jealous am I that you get to leave these things behind… EXCEPT:
- I hate M-14 worse that 696. Glorified country road that is poorly lit and seems to always have lane closures lately.
- Well, you know I love Red Lobster and would be a bit sad to live in a country where I couldn’t get cheddar bay biscuits and coconut shrimp and wash it down w/ an Absolut Peppar bloddy mary… oh man, I probably just gave you dry heaves!
